Our History
Lagniappe was founded by Gretchen Toloso and Christi Miglicco.
With over 60 years of combined teaching experience, Gretchen and Christi were acutely aware that a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach to education no longer met the needs of every student in today’s fast-paced academic setting.
Both Gretchen and Christi moved to the Dallas area after their combined 60+ years of service in education throughout the southern United States. Utilizing their knowledge, they set out to address the needs of modern students.
Thus, in 2018, Lagniappe was created as a boutique homeschooling and tutoring business, specializing in individualized programs developed from an in-house evaluation.
Lagniappe Educational Services was founded to provide students with an individualized approach to learning. Our dedicated tutors continue perfecting this one-on-one tailored education in an ever-changing world to meet students where they are, shape them into who they want to become, and launch them into their future success.
