General Questions
How do I know if my child needs tutoring?
Your child may be having issues with their academics at school, causing him or her to underperform. Your child may find his or her assignments too easy and need a challenge or extension of their academics. Your child may be procrastinating too often and need management skills. Your child may need additional motivation or help, building up his or her confidence.
Where can I meet with my tutor?
We meet with our students in our modern one-room schoolhouse, located in Frisco, Texas. While we can offer distance learning or in-home learning, we find our students perform best when not cooped up in their homes or distracted in busy coffee shops or libraries. Let us give you a tour of our new facility!
Are your tutors qualified?
Every one of our tutors has significant teaching or tutoring experience. Tutors vary from overachieving college students to college-degreed professionals and experienced homeschool and classroom teachers – both current and retired. We match our tutors with students that allow both to succeed. Our tutors are vetted to ensure our team will always exceed parents’ expectations for educating their children.
How long is one session?
Our tutoring sessions are typically an hour and a half, while our homeschooling sessions are three to five hours long. We do provide breaks for our homeschool students because three hours of study can be overwhelming. On the other hand, one hour is often not sufficient enough time to dive deep into the material. In our experience, one and a half to three hours is ideal between breaks of intensive study.
Do you have payment plans?
We do not offer payment plans. However, we offer discounts on pre-purchased hours/sessions in bulk for the month or quarter. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need more information about our payment options.
What is the cancellation policy?
If a session is canceled 12 hours or less before the appointment, the session will not be refunded.
How often should my child get lessons?
Each student will be assessed for his or her needs to determine how often and how long tutoring will be advised. Give our team a call, and let’s discuss your concerns and goals so we can better answer this specifically for your child.
