Test Preparation Results

Our mission at Lagniappe is to help students achieve academic knowledge and learn how to reach success in all areas of his or her lives. We will help your child understand the course curriculum and discover the most effective test-taking strategies. We assist your child in developing ‘exam-studying’ techniques so that he or she feels confident when approaching their exam.

Results

We offer rigorously analyzed ACT-SAT evaluations and use those results to then create student-specific study aides which cater to unique learning types and styles.

Our tutoring program has shown incredible results even after just a few weeks of work.

​​Based on the results of actual students, our ACT preparation (prep) program can add nine points or more in a single subject. This improvement could boost your overall Composite Score by 2 or 3 points!​​

Based on the results of actual students, our ACT prep program can add 12 points or more to a composite score after just a few weeks of tutoring. This improvement could significantly boost your opportunity to attend the school of your choice or win the scholarship you are seeking.

Students who originally received a
composite score of 20 or less can expect results similar to these:

* “Starting Score” = their first attempt at taking the ACT exam, prior to tutoring.
* The National Average Composite Score in 2021 was 20.3.  In Texas, the average was 20.1.

Students who originally received a
specific subject score of 20 or less can expect results similar to these:

* “Starting Score” = their first attempt at taking the ACT exam, prior to tutoring.
* The National Average Composite score for English was 19.6 in 2021.

Students with a composite score in or near
the 30s can expect results similar to these:

* “Starting Score” = their first attempt at taking the ACT exam, prior to tutoring.
* The highest possible score is 36.
* If you receive a composite score of 33 or higher, you are in the top 4% of all test takers.
* Achieving a score of 35 or 36 places you in the top 99 percentile.
